V.W. trip to Vegas

This is what happens when Barry Gibb and a dark Reece Witherspoon decide to do an ad for V.W....
ha ha ha! Matt won a place at the Regional Sales Guild meeting in Vegas. Congratulations Matt!
He is actually in the top 2 for his region...although he would never tell you. So modest.
Anyhow, we got a 3 day stay at the Bellagio with fun cocktail parties, lavish dinners etc. They
were doing photo shoots the first night at the party - this was actually pretty fun. The weather was so nice and sunny! (Hadn't seen that in a while.)
Matt was lucky to go as he was just getting over the stomach flu that he caught from Grey...you might know where this is going when I say that I had escaped the illness, so far...
I woke up the second day at about 4 AM with horrible stomach cramps and a fever!! So sad. I spent the whole day and second night in the room. (more like the bathroom!) Yikes.
Matt had to go to his fancy shmancy awards dinner solo. I was actually too ill to really notice until I realized that I wouldn't get to wear that lovely dress I found just for this event!
I admit to feeling overly sorry for myself. Then had to buck up and realize that at least I was sick in the Bellagio and that I wasn't trying to care for my kiddies too!
My mom very nicely took 3 days off to stay with the kids. Thank you!!
So, Matt watched a record number of movies in the room while making sure I was conscious.
We did get out the last day to walk around the resort - very very pretty. Eric (Matt's work-wife)
and his fiancee' Holly were also there along with Mike and Jen Smith (Mike is the G.M.) so it was great to have good friends around. (Well, for the time I was able to see them!)
There were winners from the parts and service group there as well - Strong's had people place in all three divisions - nice work!
Thanks to Matt for working so hard, such long hours and six days a week to take care of us.
